Play Description
American playwright Thornton Wilder wrote The Skin of Our Teeth in 1942, and played the title role of Mr. Antrobus in the premier performances at the Shubert Theatre in New Haven, Connecticutt. Wilder’s Pulitzer Prize-winning drama follows the typical and sometimes tragic circumstances of the Antrobus family, who have learned to persevere and even thrive through a number of natural and family crises including an ice age, flood, and war. Each of the three acts captures a separate episode in the survival of the human race.
